Shaktikanta Das is a retired Indian bureaucrat and IAS officer who served as the 25th governor of the Reserve Bank of India. Since February 2025, he has been serving as the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. Das is a retired 1980 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre.He was earlier a member of the Fifteenth Finance Commission and India's Sherpa to the G20.
